[08.07] 实验火山学与月球地质工程
[复制链接] 分享:Experimental volcanology to lunar geoengineering
主讲人:Donald Bruce Dingwell
时间:8月7日周四 10:00
地点:英杰交流中心第六会议室
语言:英语
讲座介绍:
The experimental manipulation of molten systems at high temperature has been at the core of experimental volcanology for decades. Today we are faced with new challenges involving a blend of geosciences and geo-engineering. Human presence on the moon directly involves the utilisation of lunar regolith for resource extraction and structural materials. Thus experimental geoscience/geoengineering will make major contributions to lunar habitation.
主讲人介绍:
Dnald Bruce Dingwell, director of GEOLAB, primarily focuses on experimental geoscience, mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry. Professor Dingwell is currently a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice president and a member of the Academia Europaea, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, a member of the German Academy of Sciences and Engineering, a member of the German National Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the Royal Society of the UK, and a corresponding member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. He has made significant contributions to the development of magmatic rheology, the study of volcanic eruption mechanisms and processes, and interdisciplinary international cooperation in volcanology. Since the 1990s, Professor Dingwell has engaged in long-term collaborations with Chinese scholars and research institutions in the fields of geological sciences and geological materials.
